Modelling Animal Collective Behaviour and Decision Making

The research project of my PhD sets in the area of ”Collective Animal Behaviour”. The aim is to explain the emergence of global patterns typical of coordinated behaviour and to understand the relationships between the single animal and the group it lives in. In particular, my PhD will address three main research themes: animal rules of motions, decision making and statistical mechanics approach to the collective behaviour of large groups of animals.
