Instructions for prospective advisors
There are now 2 postdoc positions advertised at CIM, with April 12 as deadline for applications. The positions are planned to start from August 2017 (or at a later date mutually agreed upon).
All positions will be co-financed with CIM covering 50% of the salary. Prospective advisors are invited to submit suggestions for interdisciplinary and/or industrial projects, to be displayed at the CIM web pages.
The interdisciplinary and industrial aspects are important for CIM, and all projects should have both mathematical contents as well as themes that are of interest from a more applied perspective. To guarantee the interdisciplinary aspect, projects should involve two advisors representing different academic subjects, or one from an academic department and one from industry. One of the advisors should be from the mathematical sciences (including, but not necessarily restricted to, mathematics, statistics, scientific computing, and the more theoretical parts of image analysis, system identification, and automatic control).
Please send your project descriptions to the director, Erik Ekström.
