Welcome reception, September 25 at 18.00
On Sunday evening at 18:00, a welcome party/registration will be held at Norrlands nation (the same venue as the workshop). Address: Västra Ågatan 14.
Uppsala University's vice-rector of Science and Engineering - Prof. Johan Tysk - will give a short welcome speech at ca 19:00. Light food and drinks will be served. The Welcome party is included in the registration fee for all delegates.
Excursion to Old Uppsala, September 27 at 14.00-17.00
Bus leaves from Norrlands nation at 14.00
Gamla Uppsala means old Uppsala. The known history of this very special place stretches back some 2,000 years. At Gamla Uppsala you can wander among the royal mounds, ruins and burial sites for a fascinating insight into how ancient Swedes lived, died and what they believed in.
At Gamla Uppsala you can see the ruins of Uppsala’s first cathedral, dating back to the 12th century. At Gamla Uppsala Museum you can learn about the magnificent golden temple that is said to have stood on this spot and view the archaeological finds made here.
At Disagården open-air museum just behind the Gamla Uppsala church you can have a look at rural life in Sweden in the mid-19th century.

Conference dinner, September 28 at 19.00, at Borgen Restaurant and Banquet Halls
Borgen restaurant and banquet halls is located in a building from 1911. The building was designed by architect Axel Lindegren and was built in stages from 1908 to 1910.
The house hosts some of Uppsala’s most beautiful rooms for music, meetings and of course good food. The world famous choir Orphei Drängar practice in one of the house’s halls before their highly acclaimed concerts.
