GP Seminar: Introduction to spectral networks

Abstract: I will review the framework of spectral networks, a construction with roots in physics that defines a map between an Abelian local system on a Riemann surface and a non-Abelian local system on a second surface, related to the first one by a ramified projection map. Spectral networks allow to carry out explicit computations of the BPS spectrum of holomorphic curves with Lagrangian boundaries, encoding its wall-crossing properties in a natural way.
