Abstract: Kramers-Fokker-Planck equation describes the probability density of Langevin dynamics which model molecular systems. In this talk, a Galerkin-type approximation method using Hermite polynomials is presented for solving this equation in a periodical setting together with quantitive error estimates. We also provide a way to approach the whole space solution using periodical approximations.
