Welcome to this seminar held by Philippe Gille with the title "When is a reductive group scheme linear?".

Abstract: A basic important fact is that an affine algebraic group is linear, that is, admits a faithful linear representation. We shall come back to that result and examine in which extent it extends to affine group schemes of finite type over a ring.
